More shopping and designers start arriving

Dinner in St CharlesWhat a great day!  Jennie is in Shop Owner’s Camp, talking and brainstorming with new and established shop owners and getting ideas for some new classes, deals and fun stuff for all of you.  Carol and I went to 2nd Street Beads and found lots of things to embellish samplers and to make new scissor protectors.

We came back to the hotel to meet Judy Bilek (Mosey & Me) and to help her set up for market.  Judy & husband Frank live in Katy, TX, just outside of Houston.  Frank is waiting out the storm at home with all their animals and so far, everything is fine.  We also met Christa Bowling of Southern Hills Designs.  Her punchneedle designs are great!  We met up with Ruth Sparrow and went to dinner with all three designers.

Early shopping starts tomorrow at 6 & the Buckeye Game will be on in our room later on!  Go Bucks!

P.S. Spot the Buckeye Gnomes in our shop this weekend and every game day weekend to find out where they are hiding.  Keep track of all the places they visit and turn them end at the end of the season – those who have every location from the start of the season will be entered to win a special prize!

Market, day 2

Carol & JennieWe just got back from exploring historic downtown St Charles.  What a wonderful place to shop!  There are glass stores, a Christmas shop, gift shops, antiques stores, a quilt and button shop and lots of cute places to eat – not only restaurants but candy shops, ice cream places and a popcorn store.  Tonight while Jennie attends class, I’m taking Carol to the Cubs game.  Stitching market *AND* a Cubs game – what more could a girl ask for?  :-)
O Little Town BethlehemWe got an email from Poppy Kreations with their fabulous things they will be bringing to market – titles like “O little town of Bethlehem” and “Don’t Fall on Your Ice” are so cute.  We’ve seen the designers start coming into the hotel – excitement is building!  We are looking forward to the the rest of the week!

Going to Market!

Day One at St Charles99 skeins of floss on the wall, 99 skeins of floss, take one down, stitch it around, 98 skeins of floss on the wall . . . .oh. . . HI!  Well, we made it!  The first ever TNNA Cash & Carry Market in St Charles, Missouri – and we are so excited.  We left out early this morning and drove 8 hours (including stopping for lunch!) and we are tired.  We’ve got a couple days of classes and then Market shopping starts at 6 pm.  Watch this space for nightly updates of what we’ve got.  We need your help!  The more you shop at the store this week – the more we can buy this weekend!
