Market is always a sensory overload when you are faced with all the new things, and this one is no different! Our first stop was the Wichelt booth and I got to see all the Pixie Couture Fairies in one spot…each one gets prettier and more sparkly and I love them all – way to go, Nora! Plus, at the Hoffman booth, we got to see the newest releases “Letters from Nora”! A, B, and C, are the first to arrive, and oh, my gosh, how charming these are!
As we wandered, we saw new designs from Sam Sarah (I love the new Pearls! They are all Halloween designs!), and Milady’s Needle (the newest limited edition “Cottage Charm Stitcher’s Pocket” is a MUST HAVE for those of us who like those needle cases and scissor pockets) who designs the most detailed and beautiful smalls…but her “Regal Sampler” and “Peacocks Rule” are just gorgeous! PLUS, they have come out with some new Quaker Pin Cushions and the Pin Cushion Bases are done by Gloria’s husband and they are very fine work! Nordic Needle displayed Cindy Valentine’s two newest Hardanger designs – “Summer Sunrise” and “Summer Twilight”…gals, they are on larger count fabric!!!
I got into major trouble in the Dinky Dyes booth, as they have released 10 new colors, and since I just love Dinky Dyes, I ordered more for myself from the main line…did you know they have now released some 4mm and 7mm silks in the colors as well? What with the 5, 8 and 12 pearl cottons, and now this, well, you ladies are going to be in Fiber Heaven! They have released a new quilt block called “Mt. Coot-tha”; plus the cutest design called “Kwitcherbellyakin”! They also had on display the most intriguingly assembled design from Twisted Oaks called “Patchwork Garden Pincushion Ball” and it can be a pin cushion or an ornament – but what a neat way to display your talents as a stitcher! Also in their booth, The Cats Whiskers Design Studio; who has also released three new simple scissor fobs for you with her “Krazy Kitties”! AND a “Fabulous Fall Biscornu” which must find its way into my stash, no matter what!

You won’t be able to stop playing with this adorable magnet set! There are two magnets in each set: the head and the body. You can put the magnets together to hold a picture or small pattern. Use the magnets separately on your chart. They are a great conversation piece. Total size of this black and white cow when together is 2.25″ x 2″ x 1.25″. From Tina and Teri of Shepherd’s Bush comes the new kit, Sail Away, a sampler with images of the sea and home. The Mermaid kit is a sweet accompaniment to it. You will want to follow her back to the beach so you can swim and then stitch! You will also love the Queen – its great to be a sheep with a crown! Four new leaflets – Scatter Freedom and She Tends are my favorites – and a new Free Freebie – it’s in the works. I’m waiting for the buttons and will have it here at the store soon.
